Cartoons, the Foundation of your Identity

Most people would argue that the elision and cartoons is not good for children. And yet the average child watches cartoons like it is their daily dose of vitamins. But why, other than the screen itself, is watching these children’s cartoons so bad for children?

Media’s game is to influence and convince wether you know it or not what ever media you are interacting with is trying to influence or convince you to do or act a certain way. Media surrounds us in our day to day life yet our minds don’t change about of favorite cereal  when we see a cereal add. This is because we have practically become immune to the immediate impulse media gives us due to the amount we see in a day. But eventually all that influence built up inside us from media does come out in one way or another.

But what does all of this have to do with children’s cartoons? Not only is the average adult convinced in one way or another by media, just imagine a child that is being fed integrating conformity. A child’s mind is easily influenced and especially when it is fun and entertaining.

Most if not every cartoon and child’s movie has some sort of unseen message that practically all of us have come accustomed to these ideas that are implanted in us due to brands like Disney. Now I am a huge fan of Disney and all their other brands that they cinteol but I realize the effects it had in my young mind and even my mind today.

One of the best ways to see how much cartoons influenced you and those around you as a child is to see what types of cartoons they watched then forgive out the underlying values of that cartoon and compare those to yourself or you friends. This very experiment alone has worked in a lot of situations I have seen it and is quite scary to see how much one can be influence at such a young age just purely by an innocent cartoon.
