Put Your Dance Pants On!!!

In August of 2017, Levi's came out with a commercial ad surrounded around people dancing in their jeans. This ad is one of my personal favorite ads I have ever seen because of the message they portray in the ad. In the ad, Levi shows multiple people of all types different ethnicities, ages, sex, and religions, and by doing this they are targeting minorities and give the ad an all-inclusive feel from the start. When the music first starts it is a lot slower of a rhythm and we start to see people slowly start to be themselves and begin to dance, later in the ad the pace of the music picks up and people start to be more and more outgoing and the crowd and circle around them start to get more and more into it. This is to try and show the viewer that Levi's will help you come out of your shell and be your true self around others. The basis of this ad and a repeated image we see is everyone standing in a circle around a couple people dancing. A circle is a very inclusive and soft shape and is thought of equal ever since the start o round tables, so the image of repeating circles also helps Levi's get across their point that whoever you are and whatever your struggles in Levi's you will be accepted and seen as equal to everyone else. Because the dancers are in the middle of the circle though you also see an invisible spotlight on them, they are literally the center of attention because of their positioning in the circle. This also makes the viewer feel like they will be looked at in a good way in Levi's and get attention for wearing them. This ad appeals so much to almost everyone because dancing is usually seen as a very vulnerable thing or something very true to self and real, so when watching this ad the average viewer will fell an automatic connection to Levi's because they are being so real or vulnerable with the viewer. Overall this ad just makes you feel so happy from the up tone beats and the exciting bright lights to the all-inclusive feel of the ad.
